Neil Chudleigh (Superwhisper): On-Device Voice-to-Text

Leading into the interview, the hosts play Andrej Karpathy's video demonstrating Superwhisper for dictation. Neil Chudleigh then explains that the bootstrapped, Toronto-based team was first to market with this form factor, why they run everything on-device for privacy ('you wouldn't install a keylogger'), the technical hurdles of optimizing small models across hardware, their upcoming open model release and Cohere voice partnership, and customers including Meta, OpenAI, Coinbase and Robinhood — before the hosts ask why they chose to bootstrap while competitors raised at huge valuations.
